Description

NAMW is looking for an outside sales representative to call on MD, S.E. PA, DC into VA. A great role if you love growing a business, challenging yourself technically, connecting with people and interacting with the industrial manufacturing infrastructure of our country — from Chemical, Pharmaceuticals, Power, Oil/Gas to Aerospace to Paper (and many more!).

We offer base salary + commision + company truck + company laptop and cell phone.

Our Outside Sales Reps aren't afraid of cold calling or long hours on the road and are skilled in developing relationships- whether it’s with the security guard at the gate, the maintenance technician at the plant or the purchasing clerk in the office.

They are out and about putting in full days- making sales visits, finding and contacting new prospects, all while following-up with current customers regarding their quotes, orders, and repairs. Your primary contacts in this role would be production maintenance, purchasing, storeroom managers, engineering, etc.

  • Willing to be on the road visiting customers 3-4 days a week.
  • Experience selling into the industrial market place (willing to train the right person)

This is a fast-paced, technical sales position with a fun company that requires discipline to continually push yourself to network with customers, care for their needs, challenge their technical needs, and help them solve problems. Qualified candidates will have 1-3 years of quantifiable outside sales success, should be comfortable with frequent travel within the territory and be able to generate new sales leads on a regular basis. Qualified applicants should be able to keep track of their sales and effectively communicate with other team members while out in the field.You will become your customer’s go-to resource for all sales, technical, and commercial aspects of NAMW's products & services.

Responsibilities

The qualified candidate will successfully navigate the business development, account management and service driver aspects of the role, including but not limited to:

· Generating new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts. Assess potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.

· Identify and establish relationships with key existing customers supporting current business activity as well as creating new sales opportunities.

· Establish working relationships with principals, traveling and setting up sales calls supporting all activities in region.

· Consistently prospecting to identify new contacts/opportunities, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Telemarketing, cold calling, appointment setting and proactive engagement of sales region.

· Visit customers on behalf of NAMW's products and services in the assigned territory for the specific purpose of driving incremental growth.

· Make joint sales calls with management and principals upon request/demand.

· Engage in technical discussions with customers, perform product demonstrations and presentations that differentiate key selling advantages to meet customers’ needs to support and build sales.

· Research and develop efficient methods to present solutions showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing manufacturer’s products.

· Work closely with inside staff, management and principals learning the details of NAMW’s product lines, systems, processes, and tools. Utilize principals tooling to provide customers with solutions and solving their technical problems.

· Keep management informed of all activity via CRM, including opportunities and presentations to clients, communicating customer feedback on future developments, quoted, and booked sales.

· Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the industry.

· Ability to learn NAMW’s CRM and use on a laptop or Smart Tablet.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.)

· Industrial Automation or Process Industry experience. Understand industry stakeholders (End Users, Integrators, and/or Engineering Firms).

· Must carry a strong technical aptitude and curiosity.

· Passionate, energetic, and fanatical about helping customers succeed. You are a problem solver and a trusted advisor. You demonstrate professional sales acumen. You are 15 minutes early for every customer meeting. “Always Be Closing” is your mantra. You wake up every morning wanting to work with customers. Your customers only want to do business with YOU.

· Local travel is required. Occasional overnight travel required for training and meetings.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
